This course will provide an overview of the basic knowledge required for passing the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilots Knowledge Test for small UAS operators, including rules and regulations, airspace classification, and reading aeronautical charts. We will cover the basic knowledge required for passing the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Knowledge exam.

This course will cover UAS mapping technology and principles of UAS data collection, the basics of photogrammetry from UAV imagery, flight planning and execution, and processing collected imagery. GPS/GNSS is reviewed as it relates to acquiring ground control points. We will overview drone mapping software, and students will gain some experience with collecting imagery, using WebODM to process data and obtain orthomosaics and 3D point clouds.

This 1-day bootcamp will help learners identify signs of trouble that lead to claims, learn best practices for avoiding claims, and understand the construction claims process and how to quantify the different types of claims. Learners will also be presented with recommended practices for creating baseline schedules and updating and preserving contemporaneous schedules, as well as information on the different types of delays and acceleration.
